Albany World of Cars is a household name in Albany and was formerly owned by the Smith Family. In January 2007 the business was sold to Malcolm Adamson and his wife and business partner Pat Adamson.
Malcolm has more than thirty years in the motor industry starting back in Leyland as group purchasing manager in South Africa. The next 15 years was spent at BMW (SA) as a senior manager, first as national parts and accessories manager and later as sales operations manager for South Africa and all export countries in Africa.
In 1993, he purchased his own BMW Dealership and 3 years later was awarded the Best Performing Dealership in South Africa for sales and customer satisfaction. The following year he opened a panel beating shop which also achieved top accolades for performance. In the same year, he acquired an Avis Rent-a-car franchise for the area and performed well above required levels.
In 2000, Malcolm immigrated to Australia with his family and worked as General Manager for South Coast Automotive Group. In addition to his motor vehicle portfolio, he was a 50% share holder in Mustang Cruisers Gold Coast for 2 years, which was awarded top dealer in the world for Mustang Cruisers.
Malcolm has appointed his son, Dale Adamson as the Brand Manger for Volkswagen, Land Rover and Hyundai and has appointed long time employee George Wrobel as Manager for Mitsubishi and Mazda.
Dale Adamson has valuable experience in the motor industry. Previously he was employed at Oldmac Toyota in Brisbane and was one of the top salespeople in the dealership. His knowledge of the motor industry is excellent and he and his team are able to assist you with any enquiry.
George Wrobel is a long time employee with Albany World of Cars with 13 years experience in car sales. Previously he was a sales consultant with the company before being promoted in 2008 to Sales Manager for Mazda and Mitsubishi.
